Ellen Sakany
Ellen Sakany has over 25 years of experience in the legal system. She is licensed in Colorado, New York, and New Jersey.

Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Sakany clerked for a matrimonial judge in Bergen County, NJ. She is also a former public defender and civil litigator dedicated to helping individuals facing criminal charges, investigations, and select civil litigation.

Ms. Sakany has extensive experience in state courtrooms in a wide range of criminal and civil matters. Her combination of professional experience, tireless advocacy on behalf of her clients, and commitment to excellence makes her a powerful ally for those experiencing the most difficult times of their lives. Ms. Sakany's legal background as a public defender involved handling DUI’s, DWAI’s, drug, assault, theft, domestic violence, and juvenile cases. Ms. Sakany's 26 years of experience enables her to competently assist her clients in personal injury matters and other civil matters.

Ms. Sakany has worked as a litigator for several respected civil law firms. She has obtained many successful civil jury verdicts and settlements. She won a $1.9 million settlement for a client who was injured by a dangerous condition in a department store.

Along with her vast experience in the courtroom, Ms. Sakany has experience in all facets of litigation preparation. She has written appellate briefs and motions that have resulted in favorable published written decisions in New York State.
